C’mon, people. Seriously? Can you get even more detailed for how to write a Haiku? Does anyone else see the irony in being so wordy about how to write a Haiku? I get lost in all the "keep in minds" and history. Let me see if I can do this.
Well let me follow the directions:
1. Check. 5 - 7 – 5
2. Winter
3. keeping that a secret
4. sensory. OK
5. practice. practice. practice.
Some attempts.
soft ice melting
warm flowing yucky
yellow snow
smell of burning wood
flowing in the heavy air
winter in Istanbul
clear white ice
blocks every path
I fall on my a**
Well, I guess I need to practice more. That is the 5th step, after all. Well,
Haiku, I hate you.
