RESULTS: Graffiti

I first started to appreciate graffiti when I moved to East London, Hackney to be exact. There were so many Banksy graffiti art, you couldn’t help but notice it all and think about what he was mocking, criticizing, or glorifying.

Trips to NYC while living in DC has allowed me to see more artistic kinds of graffiti that are much less tense than the graffiti of Banksy or of London in general.

Moving to DC brought a whole different form of graffiti that I do not appreciate as much. And that is the tagging form of graffiti, which is a form of the Agnomical kind, I just learned from this Wikihow.

I am a bit disappointed that this Wikihow didn’t explain the difference between a tagging that is just for fun and one that marks territory. It would have been nice to learn that, so that I can know when I should be worried in my neighborhood.
